Terms of Service
Last updated: August 09, 2026
Service description
Previewcard is a diagnostic tool that fetches a public URL, parses its Open Graph and Twitter Card meta tags, fetches the referenced image to verify its status and dimensions, and presents the results to you. The tool checks one URL at a time, does not crawl or index websites, does not store results, and does not operate user accounts.
No accounts, no stored data
This service does not require registration, does not issue accounts, and does not store any data you submit. Each check is processed in memory and discarded immediately after the response is sent. There are no sessions, no saved history, and no personal data collected or retained.
Billing
Previewcard currently provides its service at no charge. No billing or payment information is collected or required to use the Free plan.
A paid Pro plan is planned but not yet available for purchase. When it launches, the terms in this section will apply:
- What you buy: A Pro subscription grants access to batch URL checking, a programmatic API, and higher rate limits as described on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
- Price: The Pro plan is planned at $9 per month, billed monthly. The price in effect at the time of subscription applies for the duration of that billing period.
- Billing period: Subscriptions renew automatically each month. You will be charged on the same calendar day each month. If that day does not exist in a given month, the charge will occur on the last day of that month.
- Failed payments: If a payment attempt fails, we will retry the charge up to three times over the following five days. If all retries fail, access to Pro features may be suspended until the outstanding balance is paid. Accounts with a balance unpaid for 30 days may be downgraded to the Free plan.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access to Pro features continues until the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are given for the remainder of a billing period.
- Refunds: If you are dissatisfied with the Pro service, you may request a refund within 14 days of your first payment. Refund requests for subsequent payments are handled on a case-by-case basis. No refunds are given for partial billing periods after cancellation.
- Payment processor: Payments will be processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. Your payment details are handled by Stripe under their terms and privacy policy; Previewcard does not store or have access to your full credit card numbers.
None of the billing provisions above are in effect until a payment processor is connected and the Pro plan is made available for purchase. You will be notified before any billing takes effect.
Use of the service
You may use Previewcard to inspect any publicly accessible URL. You agree not to:
- Submit URLs that require authentication to access.
- Use the service for systematic crawling, scraping, or denial-of-service purposes.
- Submit URLs belonging to others in a manner that harasses, threatens, or violates their rights.
Availability
This service is provided as-is, with no guarantee of availability, reliability, or uptime. We may modify or discontinue the service at any time without notice. There are no service-level agreements.
Accuracy of results
The results shown by Previewcard reflect the page and image content as fetched at the moment of the check. Pages change, images are replaced, and platforms update their requirements. Results are provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as definitive or permanent. We make no guarantees about the completeness or accuracy of the diagnostic output.
Intellectual property
The Previewcard tool, its code, and its visual design are provided for use as a service. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the tool without permission from the operator.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Previewcard and its operator shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use or inability to use this service, including but not limited to damages resulting from reliance on diagnostic results, service unavailability, or data loss (though no data is stored).
Governing law
The governing law and jurisdiction for any disputes will be determined once the operator registers a legal entity. Until that time, no governing law is specified.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Contact
No dedicated contact method has been established yet. Questions about these terms should be directed to the operator through whatever channel this site provides at the time of inquiry.
